What this Project was

For this project we had to choose an artist to inspire us to create our own art of any medium.

What I Created

For my project I took photos exclusively around campus and edited them to capture the style of my artist. I sorted all my photos into a series of collections and selected some of my favorites to make a cyanotype copy with.

My Artist of Choice

Ansel Adams

The artist I chose for my project was Ansel Adams. I was inspired by his works taken all around National Parks and his ability to capture the beauty of nature. Since his photos were all taken in the mid 1900s, they were not taken digitally. To still achieve an impressive look he exposed the photos to light in such a way that they had extreme contrast without over or under exposing his photos. I took inspiration from this for how I edited my photos.
